SSAT Accommodations
SSAT testing accommodations are available for those students with a documented disability. In order to be eligible for special testing accommodations, a student must be able to provide documentation that shows he or she regularly receives accommodations in school. A variety of accommodations are available, including extra time, large print test materials, use of a laptop or a calculator, use of a reader or a scribe, etc.
How to Apply for SSAT Accommodations
To apply for SSAT accommodations, you must complete and submit application materials. There are two types of applications: Special Testing Application A and Special Testing Application B.
Special Testing Application A is only for those students applying for 30 minutes of extra time. The application must be received by SSAT at least two weeks before the test date. The 30-minute extra time accommodation is available at all scheduled national and flex test sites.
Special Testing Application B is for those students applying for any other type of accommodation. The application must be received by SSAT at least three weeks before a national test date or at least two weeks before a flex test administration. Only certain testing locations offer these other testing accommodations. To access a list of national test sites that offer testing accommodations, visit the SSAT website.
