College Admissions Profiles

The Atlantic Coast Conference, or ACC, is a college-level athletic division whose 15 member schools compete in 27 Division I NCAA sports. Considered one of the “power conferences,” the grouping’s football champion automatically wins a spot in the Bowl Championship Series each year; regardless of this, the ACC is best known for its teams’ success in college basketball. Current members of the ACC are: Boston College, Clemson University, Florida State, University of Louisville, North Carolina State, University of Notre Dame, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Pittsburgh, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.
